We made all the following tri-fold cards using the free Valentine Card downloads on Print Picnic. We made some really simple and some are more elaborate. All of them use our free printable card embellishments. On these cards, we used double stick tape to attach the leaves and a few of the floral images , then we used foam stickies to attach the flowers or hearts to give them a raised, 3-D effect. Most of these cards start with our easy foliage group cut-outs and the flowers are applied on top. All of these cards fit perfectly into a standard office envelope.

| The cards on the far right and far left are printed with the second page of the www.ScrapbookScrapbook.com Seasonal Plaid on the card's exterior. It is a soft pink plaid w/ little hearts. The card on center left was printed in 'Draft' mode on our printer for a pastel look. If you think your cut-out embellishments do not 'pop' enough, then print your card's Streamer design in 'Draft' or "Economy' mode in your printer's settings. | |

On this center card, we just printed the stack hearts inside graphic on the outside of the card, and printed the second page of the www.ScrapbookScrapbook.com Seasonal Plaid on the card's interior. We used one of the Valentine Streamer cards to locate where our fold lines should be and marked our new card accordingly so we'd know where to score and fold.
Other similarly colored backgrounds that could be used for cards are: Pages 7 & 8 from our Gingham Set and Pages 4, 8, 10, 12, & 15 from our Pastel Plaids set.
The great news is that these cards can be used for so many occasions...Mother's Day....Birthday....Hugs of Love.....any time you want a heart warming card to send joy and affection. | |
Most of these free printable card designs use the foliage designs downloads here. You can print out separate leaves for your own artistic placement, do as we did and print out and cut out the foliage groups we make available to you here. They are fast to cut out and give you the look of layers of leaves. | |
