Quick & Simple Mother's Day Flower Pot Greeting Card Instructions

You will only need to print out Page 1 for either the pastel floral card or the bright floral card.

If you don't have the time to make the regular version of this card, you can use this quicker method. The only difference is that on the back of the bouquet you will use an all-over print that you put on the back of the paper that you print the bouquet (as shown at left) on instead of printing the exact bouquet and cutting 4 and lining them up to glue together) .

Be sure to use bright white cardstock. Regular letter weight paper will not stand up right. Print all pages at 100% size.

1. You will only need to print out Floral Bouquet for either the pastel floral card or the bright floral card (your choice) .

Print the matching card back on the other side of the paper.

2. Turn the paper over and print the matching floral page on the other side of the paper. Bright   or Pastel (your choice)

Cut out the 2 pieces and cut slits along the white lines.

3. Cut out the 2 pieces and cut slits along the white lines. You will have the exact bouquet on one side and the all-over floral design on the other side.

Cut out the pot template and score on the fold lines. We find it's easiest to score on a surface with a little give, like paper (that won't tranfer ink to your project) or a mouse pad.

You can use a scoring tool or a ball point pen out of ink, or just any pointy object. You can even score with the rounded end of a paperclip.

We like using a glue stick since the are a very dry form of glue and don't ooze out or cause the paper to wrinkle. You can use any glue, just don't use too much.

On either end you will lap two 'panels' over and tuck the tab under w/ glue on it. Mash them down flat and you will have perfect alignment. 6. Making the Mother's Day Card Floral Bouquet

Slide your pieces together along the slits. Line up the bottom "stem" edges so they are even. Flatten it out. Then tape the top along where the edges of the slit is against the other piece.

8. Slide your pieces together slipping the slits in each other. Line up the bottom  "stem" edges and ends so they are even. Flatten it out. Then put a little piece of tape on the seam near the top . For even more stability you can flip it over and tape that side the same exact way. We outlined where our tape is on photo below.

Slide the bouquet into the pot. It can go 2 ways, with the stems on the front of the narrow section or behind. We found it works best in front, not behind as in the photo to the left. 9. Another option is you can cut out one of our blank or pre-printed message medallions.

10. Another option we have made for you are pre-printed or black message medallions that you can cut-out and slip into your bouquet.

In this card, we cut straight in from the right edge then followed the edge of 2 of the purple flower petals so we could tuck the medallion in.

FINISHED CARD ready to mail !

Fold it flat and slide it into an envelope. It should go for regular postage. At least ours did when we took one to the post office and had them weigh it. And we even used a large envelope.
